Its founder and broker, Tracy Pickett, brings over 20 years of experience in counseling within the Mississippi Delta. Though she earned a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Commu

Its founder and broker, Tracy Pickett, brings over 20 years of experience in counseling within the Mississippi Delta. Though she earned a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Community Counseling, Tracy’s passion for Real Estate and Architecture always lingered in the background. True to her love for learning, she successfully achieved both her Real Estate License and Licensed Professional Counselor credentials simultaneously.
Growing up as a proud “Delta Girl” instilled in Tracy a deep appreciation for the outdoors, a spirit of adventure, and a natural knack for connecting with people. She credits her counseling background for honing her skills in relationship building, open communication, and problem-solving—all of which are invaluable in serving the needs of buyers and sellers. As Tracy puts it, these strengths allow her to truly understand and meet her clients’ goals.
In 2009, Tracy’s journey took her to Oxford—a move she credits to fate and a distance of just two miles. While her heart remains tied to the Delta, she quickly fell in love with Oxford, dubbing it the “land of opportunity.” She treasures the chance to meet people from diverse backgrounds, enjoy the educational and athletic culture, and thrive in the energy of this growing community.
After years of growing her career in real estate (since 2009) and building a loyal client base in Oxford, Batesville, and nearby areas, Tracy took the leap to establish her own real estate company in 2022. The name Velvet Grove Realty is a heartfelt nod to both Mississippi and Oxford. “Velvet Ditch” captures the allure of Oxford—a place so welcoming and comfortable that it’s hard to leave. “The Grove,” a cherished landmark in Oxford, completes the name, symbolizing community and connection.
Tracy’s vision for Velvet Grove Realty is grounded in integrity, honesty, education, and professionalism. She aims to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for every client, recognizing that each transaction is as unique as the people involved.
